The fishing has been absolutely outstanding lately with limits coming to the cleaning table on most trips. We are fishing submerged timber and brush piles in 16-22 FOW and absolutely hammering them. For the most part we are catching black crappie. I can’t explain it, but over the past few years we have seen the black crappie really take over on Lake Lewisville. The overall numbers of fish are increasing but the white crappie seem to be diminishing. I’m am not complaining though. If your a biologist I’d love to hear your take on it. Come book a trip whit Phills Guide Service this fall as the crappie fishing should continue to be outstanding until the first frost of the year. At that time I’ll start catching them in the creeks as well as offering my winter catfishing trips.
Tight lines and thank you to everyone who has fished with Phill’s guide Service this year. I have set a record for the number of fish caught as well as customers this year and am extremely grateful for all of it.
