Crappie fishing has really turned up with the August heat.

August is generally the time of year when I ramp up the crappie fishing.  The sand bass and hybrids can still be found, but they are not as pattern-able as they are in the Spring and early Summer.  The crappie fishing has been fantastic though.  We are catching  way more keeper size fish than we were this time last year.  I’d say the ratio is probably three undersized to one keeper right now.  Both trips in the photos below netted over 100 and it looks like we had about 25-30 keepers on both trips.  If you want to get in on the action give me a call/text or go through the contact me page here on my website.  Be safe on the water and tight lines everyone!
